2018 BRITAIN IN BLOOM NORTH WEST AND RHS IYN AWARDS

ENTRY TIME!

Yes, it’s that time again! Entry into the competitions is now open and we will be contacting you shortly with an invitation to take part again. You can also download an entry form for all our competitions from the ‘Competitions’ Menu of this site.

Summer seems a long way off but as you know for ‘Bloomers’ it’s a twelve month job. We look forward to seeing what special displays you come up with and we know that many innovative entries will be on show again. The RHS theme will again be ‘Greening Grey Britain’ building upon last year’s theme that hopes to revitalise neglected and rundown spaces over the three years of the project.

As well as welcoming entries from last season we will be looking to hearing from new and returning entries in all categories.

Last year in the Commercial Section of the Competition we introduced a new category of ‘Town Centre’ which has been included to encourage new entries from Towns and Cities that feel they cannot meet the criteria of a full entry. If your Town or City Centre needs a boost or is undergoing regeneration, as many are, then consider entering, and include your local businesses that will see the benefits it could bring. We guarantee it will make a positive contribution.

We would also encourage our Railway Station entries many of which currently enter the Neighbourhood Awards to ‘step up’ to the main competition category as they have, with several years experience in the IYN, the standards required to be successful.

Judging of all entries will take place throughout July and early August and entries will be advised of the exact dates in plenty of time. We have been fortunate in attracting several new judges to our panel and they look forward to visiting you in the summer.

It is important for organisational purposes that you submit your entry as soon as possible and no later than the 31st of March 2018.

If you are a new entry and have any questions please do not hesitate to contact
